I've been to Cologne and London for few days each recently and have observed that London is in decadance, degradation and recession and that Germany has a great mix of the good things of Norway and UK but cheaper and better. However it still seems to me that Germany is a little bit boring in a good way :) like Norway. The most impressive are railways, fast and solid, built for centuries.
Would be also good to check the medical system in Germany, I think this is one of the best indicators for a country, the most descriptive. Luckily I didn't need it in Germany. But this time in London I had encountered emergency department in one of the city's hospitals and the doctor who has taken care of me was great. He looked even more concerned than me, even though I looked rather bad. The whole system works in a smooth process so, yes, in spite of non-recovering after the finanicial crisis the UK hasn't fallen apart yet. There are still good people working selflessly. What happend to me was a misterious thing which never happend before and tentatively diagnosed as an allergic reaction for something which I was told to "better figure it out". I have concluded that it was London in its totality or maybe organic carrot & apply juice from Waitrose next to Kama's house. My Norwegian GP however didn't get any concerned because I came to her totally recovered and looking well and fresh, after sleeping for 2 days without waking up on those pills I got from the London hospital. This is amasing here, I think I can talk on this topic for ages. I've been looking for a good GP in Norway for ages and finally found one, who is Chinese and therefore different from all the majority in the way which suits me best. But even she I guess after years of living here could not resist the system any more and adopted the common way of not bothering too much about anything. I had named her another potential problem which could be good to test on since I 've came to her anyway but she told me with all the conviction she possesses "We do not worry about this for the next 3 months, if it goes way on itself by then, then it was normal and nothing to worry about, if not you come back". Amazing. I am wondering is this a cultural difference and why, WHY is this so? What about early diagnostics? what about prevention? Isn't it is both healthier and cheaper than treatment of already developed illnesses? and in any case people are paying for all those tests, so why not take them... JA VEL..... I must say I still like her, she is the best GP I've encountered in Norway and a good woman. and I am most likely as usually want too much :) require always more and better :)
I found a wonderful shop in Camden, a centre of all alternative, and bought a beautiful dress. I have already 25 beautiful dresses, all are rather light. and only one nice and warm woollen sweater, which I wear every day for half a year since it is a winter here for half a year. so I am wondering what can I do with this rather irrational behavioral pattern. Still after 9 years in Norway I can't get used to the idea of thermal underwear, "proper" winter clothing and all that comes along with it... Suggested to my sunshine to move to warmer countries but he doesn't want. One possible option is to create warm and beatuful winter dresses. This is what I am going to try for.
